Lori Poloni-Staudinger Associate Professor

Dr. Poloni-Staudinger focuses on comparative politics and international relations. Her research has focused on social movements, including environmental movements, women's movements and separatist movements. A current project examines women and terrorism at several levels in society. She also has an interested in engagement and civil deliberation, particularly in the classroom setting. Dr. Poloni-Staudinger served as a Fulbright Scholar at the Diplomatic Academy in Vienna, Austria in 2010, and she is currently serving as a peer-reviewer for Fulbright awards and as President of the Midwest Political Science Association's Women's Caucus. In 2013 she received an affiliation with the Kettering Foundation and is working toward creation of a Kettering Center for Public Life at NAU. She also serves as a consultant for the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).
